Richard Garcia is the author of six collections of poetry, including three from BOA Editions: Rancho Notorious (2001), The Persistence of Objects (2006), and The Chair (2014). Garcia is the recipient of numerous awards including the Pushcart Prize and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. For twelve years he was poet-in-residence at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where he conducted workshops in art and poetry for hospitalized children.
