Hugh Martin
Hugh Martin spent six years in the Army National Guard and eleven months in Iraq. His chapbook, So How Was the War? (Kent State UP, 2010) was published by the Wick Poetry Center, and his first full-length collection of poetry, The Stick Soldiers (BOA, 2013), was awarded the A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize. Martin is the recipient of a Wallace Stegner Fellowship and the Jeff Sharlet Memorial Award from the Iowa Review. A graduate of Muskingum University and Arizona State, he is currently the Emerging Writer Lecturer at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.
